DPL Die große Fotoschule Digitale Fotografie

This book teaches the very bascis about photography. It's written in German.

Just Daylight!

This book explains how to photograph with daylight. When I started with model photograpy I immediately used flashlight. However, every photographer should learn how to photograph with natural light at the beginning. The title of this book is in English. However, the book is written in German.

Just one Flash!

This book explains how to photograph with just one flash. At the beginning you might be tempted to use several flashes when you photograph people. However, I recommend to use just one flash at the beginning. For many use cases you just need one flash. When you have learned that then you can continue using two flashes. The title of this book is in English. However, the book is written in German.

Entfesseltes Blitzen

This is a book for advanced photographers. It explains how to use various flashlights for photographing people. It covers lots of tricks, for example using plugon flashes in a row and it covers HSS. The book also explains how to use coloured flashlights The focus of the book is on photographing people but it also covers food photography. The book is written in German.

Kreative Blitzpraxis

This book explains the basics about using flashlights and also covers advanced topics. It covers people photography, food photography, and macro photography. The book is written in German.

Porträt- und Aktfotografie

This book explains the basics about photography and introduces the reader to nude photography. The book is written in German.

Akt- und Erotikfotografie

This is a book for advanced photographers who want to learn more about nude photography, using portable studio flash equipment. The book is written in German.

Tripods

Manfrotto Element

I have the predecessor of this tripod. It's excellent. It's made of carbon. Therefore, it weighs just 1.35 kg. You will appreciate this when you have to walk long distances or when you are travelling.

Manfrotto 2 Section Mini Tripod - Black

Often you will just need a small tripod. Or you don't have enough space for a big tripod. Then you should put at least this tripod into your bag. It weighs just 260 g.

Pedco Ultra 2 Camera Tripod

I also have this tripod because it weighs just 91 grams. I noticed that when I am travelling and I am walking around the entire day then really every single gram in my bag matters. Unfortunately, this tripod is currently not available.
